Replace Heat A/C Controller Panel:

Anyone know how to get access to this part. I have to replace it.

You can buy it online at online mazda parts. Cost is somewhere around 240 dollars though. If you are having trouble with it (intermitten heat/AC), check the DIY forum for the fix. The thread is a sticky if I remember so you shouldn't have any trouble finding it. The fix involves soldering 3 connections that are known to crack and come apart. It is an easy fix as long as you can solder even remotely decent.

To replace it, the radio needs to come out. There are a couple of connectors on the unit itself and it screws into the back of the radio faceplate. It is really apparent on how to take it out once you have the radio removed.

there is a fix it yourself linkage on the site... I need to do it anyway... if mine works out ill let ya know.. apparently its really easy
