Recaro seats
 

I have an 05 and was wondering if the recaro seats were put in any models of it that year? if not could i swap out my cloth seats with those and will the air bags work from different a different year model or not. any input would be nice.

No. The recaros were only installed in 09-11 R3's.

I'm sure you could swap them out if you can find a pair. I can't speak to whether the airbags would work or not.

the cloth and leather seats all have the same airbag connections.

+1, the recaros are plug and play...

even cooler is that you can put the recaros on the motorized rails that came with your leather seats.

Hmm, makes me wonder - anyone have an opinion about which Recaro model would most closely match the OEM seats?

To the OP, Find a good modernized used auto parts place thats online with the northeast recycling assn or prpne and they can search the whole northeast for those seats.

Recaro Sporster CSs match the interior well,
