Question about a Certain Sub Set Up

I have the factory Bose system with the amp in the trunk and I dont mind the way it sounds but I would like a good bit more bass but nothing crazy just something that you will notice isnt from a stock system but nothing that everyone within 300yrds is going to hear.

What I was looking at is a cheaper brand called Dual, its a single 10" sub mounted in a bandpass box with blue lights and a clear window. Im going to be running a older fosgate punch 200 amp to it which is 4 channels so is the regular set up isnt enough and Id like your advice on that then I will bridge it. Its 4 channels at 50 watts a channel.

does my amp have enough watts to get the sound I want which is nothing over powering but definitely noticeable in the car and is this sub set up ok for what I want?

Will it be enough for you? I think only you can answer that. You already have the amp, so bridge two channels together and try it out.

My 10" sub generates sufficient bass to create a sonic wave emanating from my car... it's an awesome insect and deer repellent. 200w amp should be sufficient. I'm got a 2 channel 100w amp bridged to my sub tapped off the low level inputs going into the bose amp.

He'll only be able to use half the amp in his scenario. So maybe 100W. We don't know what amp that is, if those figures are true to life, if they're 2 ohm or 4 ohm figures, if they're peak or RMS, etc. He already has the amp, so I wasn't even going to get into that.lol

Some 4 channel amps will bridge to a single channel ... but I agree.

I spent a total of 30 minutes researching my amp at crutchfield.com ... and I'm glad I went with the Prime. Anything more would've been a waste.

Thanks guys, from the sounds of it this set up will work perfectly for what I want. Its a rockford fosgate punch 200 4 channel and can be bridged to one. I can switch from 2 or 4 ohms. Its 25x 4 RMS into 4ohms, 50x4 rms at 2 ohms. Its areally nice amp and retailed for $390 10 yrs ago and its never been used so all should work good. If its not enough with the 50 watts in 2 channels then ill bridge it and that should be more then enough id think.

Thanks a ton again guys

REALLY??! Thats nice to hear I wasn't sure what to expect. I'll be happy with it something that just sounds really nice and is in overpowering to where you can't even enjoy thie song. 20 years ago that's exactly what I wanted andI wanted everyone to hear me from 3 miles away but now that's the last thing I'm looking for so it seems that the setup I has is going to be perfect. thanks again brother!!!
