Problem after updating Navigation Firmware
After reading various thread about updating the Nav system firmware. I called Mazda customer service and ordered the free firmware update. I installed it and the successful completion message came on. After the update the system seemed to be working fine until I decided to get directions to a nearby location. The nav system will not recognize some zip codes and addresses that it previously did. Same thing with street names etc. I have the latest NAVTEQ DVD. The firmware version that Mazda sent me is U9.136 2003.7 Any ideas what happened or how to fix? thanks.

Figured it out. The firmware update reset the location to the midwest. Just set it back to the northeast and all is good again.

That's funny, I received the firmware upgrade ONE DAY AFTER I CALLED MAZDA...I was impressed, anyhoo I upgraded it and it defaulted to the Northeast, and I live in the South.

what # did you call to get that firmware CD

you can download it too... just do a search. i'm fairly certain someone is hosting it.

I can't seem to find it out there - interesting tho.
I guess googleing by the filename may have a better outcome? |
