Price quoting estimate on this type of interior job for rx8?

Hi all
I am finally able to afford an 8 and plan to do it up. In my mind, I am looking at making it something of a luxury sports car. I won't be tracked or any uber wild bodykit slapped on. I am focusing more on interior. Check out this car

( too many pics to put up, so the link is good enough)

I really fancy that interior and want to replicate it to the entire interior of an 8. to your best knowledge, how much will it cost, labor included?

Wow if your just now able to afford an 8...it will take twice as long to be able to afford that interior...

if you want a luxury "sports" car just buy a G35

thats a serious ostrich Interior

I think that would look like hell in an RX-8. You should buy a Mercedes not a Mazda. I think if you want a car thats "pimp" you should buy something else.

well unless you got a white RX-8 and put wire wheels with white walls on it.

Where there is a will there is a way.

Best bet is to take it to some local upholstery shops and get bids.

Think it would be somewhere between 3 and 10 thousand depending on the detail and material you are looking for.

Should have used their $$$ to convert is to a M/T...
Probably a trailer queen.

Well, I am not fussy about premium material. I am sure good leather would do just fine. Its the design that caught my eye......

JPotta 01-02-2007 07:21 PM

Maybe you could make it a convertable too!

Somewhere in the $3000+ depending on the quality of materials used; you could easily dump $10000 into that sort of interior if everything was the highest quality and the workmanship was exceptional.

Personally I do not care for the look. But my opinion isn't what you wanted so I'll shut up now. :)

Hahaha, no major conversions for me! A few factors helped me decide on this car. As far as I know, the maintanance is quiet low, and parts are not a big problem. Its a great sports car, which fits 4 just fine. I like the option of being able to fit four. The deal breaker?- The suicide doors. When I get around to doing up the car, ill post some pics up. I am mostly going for exterior and interior mods, with some small performance upgrades. Suspension is sure too be done as well. I do not plan to spend much, as I am on a budget and it's not like the value of the car will go up if i dump a lot of money in.

Sorry to break it to you, but if you try to copy that style of interior...you WILL be dumping A LOT of $$$ into your car. Shag carpet doesn't run cheap. Neither do Chinchilla headliners.
