Pics of the rx8 install as promised...
As promised, i got some pics for you guys of the rx8 install i am doing for my freind...pretty much its all done excepting wiring in some interior neons, only briefly powered it up as it was getting way too late :), and sounded pretty good wihtout tweaking. will have more updated pics later with the neons...
http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/images/rxa.jpg here you see the stock covering piece heavily reinfored by fibergalss and dampening to ensure its solid. almost half an inch thick around the moutning holes. http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/images/rxb.jpg here is the piece with the combination fiberglass/mdf box moutned to the rear. again, there is about layers of fiberglass and dampening to reinforce the entire piece. http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/images/rxc.jpg here you see the piece test mounted in the car http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/images/rxd.jpg and here you see how well the enclosure fits within the confines of the stock storage opening. http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/images/rxe.jpg here again, you see the piece mounted withe amp rack mounted |

and here is the amp rack :) kicker kx600.4 trimmed in red, with alum tubing acting as decoration and add a little protection. the entire thing is right up against the back mounting cross brace and total loss of trunk space is roughly 4" http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/images/rxg-2.jpg another view of the amp rack from the outside http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/images/rxh.jpg http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/images/rxi.jpg the interior subs after its all moutned... |
and here are two pics for those people who are concerned with the subs being too visible, with 20 percent all around tint, here is the view from right next to the rrear window looking right at the subs, and also standing right infront of the car looking straight back, it was a relatively sunny day...

you think it would be possible to fit 10's in the opening???? I think 12's are no way, but 10's might be doing with the width.
