Does anyone know where the nav uint will be mounted and what it will look like? Is it one of the Audi style units without maps?

 

Here's how it will look:

 

The NAV screen folds down into the dash doesnt it?

 

Yep. Don't know about FOLDS, I believe it pops up and down.

 

The buttons on the side say "OPEN" and "TILT"

 

It looks like it may rotate up, similar to disappearing headlights.

Do any of you guys know what the screen size is?

 

I know this has been asked before but has anybody gotten a definite answer on the NAV system causing a delay in shipment?

If the NAV unit is pop-up does it use a touch screen to enter adresses and stuff like that? I can't find any info about the system on the Mazda web site.

Also, does anyone know if it does voice commands like the new Honda units?

 

My question is does the NAV unit display oil and water like the one in the "MAZDAPSEED RX-8 Concept" car

Looking at some of the previously posted pictures showed that the controls for the NAV are located behind the stick shift. Also, nowhere did I read that there was touch screen menu or voice activation.

 

who makes the hardware and software for the Nav?

any idea what kind of nav it uses? i.e. birdeyes, or top view...etc
