one phat subwoofer

ive been looking for a good system for my 8 and because the rx8 lacks a lot of trunk space ive decided to buy one powerful sub rather than 2 decent ones. i dont have the bose package btw.

so i found this one..

if anyone has had any bad experiences with this sub please let me know. also, what kind of amplifier would i need to power this sub?

random question
is there any way to fit a 15'' woofer in the rx8 trunk?

thanks

I would think a 15" sub that doesn't require alot of volume behind it would fit. Like a Solo-baric. If thats what your lookin for. 15" is about the biggest unless you mount it facing skyward and take up the whole trunk. I tried an 18 solo....didn't go so hot. :)

well, i personlly do not like audiobahn prodcuts. definetly int he more show than go department. although I will admit that they have definetly improved their products over the years. about 4 or 5 years ago, we tried audiobahn for a while, and in the course of one year, blew about 70 percent ofthe subs and 30 percent of hte amps, even blew a sub out during just bench testing, and then a few magazines came out with pretty poor reviews of audiobahn products as well...

so like i said, its like hyundai, they arent so bad now, but the stigma sticks wiht them, persoanlly, i think even if they never was bad, they arestill too bling bling for me.

my current opinion of audiobahn stuff:

amps: average quality, oaky output, cool looks if you likechrome
subs: good price, good output, below average sound quality
speakres: poor soundquality

personally I think you can find better sounding subs with similar output for around the same price...but if you want all thatchrome, then you will be cool with those.

oh and yes, there is a way to fit a 15" sub in an rx8, but prepare to loose pretty much all your usable trunk space.

i go to the university of pittsburgh, and i really hate that drive (200 miles on the turnpike, ugh) and with gas the way it is right now, it doesn't make any financial sense for me to come out there unless you're hooking me up with a demo car discount
