This might fit better in the rattle thread but I'll ask anyway.

There's an infuriating rattle coming from the CD player area in my 8., Has anyone experienced this and if so what's the cure??

Yes, I have been really irritated with this rattle in my new RX8 too. Hopefully someone has found a good solution. I'm planning to take it to the dealer and get it checked.

 

Thank god I'm not the only one with this problem! I thought I was getting paranoid!

I brought my car to my dealership for other things and asked them to have a look at this rattle. They never bothered! That's Irish mechanics for ya!

If and when you do sort this, please tell us what to do!!

 

I think i've found out my problem.....it's very easy to just take out the head unit......no bloody screws or bolts holding it in place!!! Dammit!!
