New Car2PC for Mazda ¿Can you help me?
Hi.
I'm from Spain, and I'm triyng to install a CarPC system in my RX-8. Recetly I bought this Car2PC, and yesterday I installed it and here it is where it begins my problem. The wires instalation was very quick and computer detect the device succesfully, but in my Radio Head Unit I can't change to CD Charger mode, actually I don't know I'm pushing the correct button, because it is supposed pushing steering wheel MODE button It should change between FM1/FM2/AM/CD and External CD-Charger (Car2PC in this case) but it dosen't, It just change between FM1/FM2/AM/CD, it seems as Radio HU don't recognize the External CD-Charger or It's necessary to push a combination of button to enable the CD-Charger MODE, really I don't know. The firmware of the Radio Head Hunit it's 10.01, and the Car2PC need 9.55 or later. I hope somebody can give me some help Forgive me for my English it is not too good. Thanks in advice. |

I hope somebody can give me some help Forgive me for my English it is not too good. Thanks in advice. The process for changing to CD-Changer (or External or EX1) is as you describe: you just go through sources by pressing either "MODE" or the "CD" button in the HU. If it doesn't change to "EX1", then your HU doesn't recognize the external adapter.... |
I have the same unit and had no problems. I have a 9.55 flash version tho. To get the unit to recognize I pressed CD twice.

try resetting the HU, plug out the main harness of the HU and plug in again.
did that when my HU didn't detect the audiolink. it worked after that. |
