alright so i am going to buy some subs and i was thinking about where i could put them that would look awesome /custom. i thought it would be a cool to have the two subs in the partition in between the two back seats. kind of like a viper
my question is with two 8's how can i put them in and still have them sound good
i dont think i should just drill 2 holes in there i was thinking fiberglass but i know subs need air space or a box to surround it so now can i do it? or do you think it will just sound like crap

here is a picture of what i want to do but im not sure if these are subs or speakers or whatever

if you or someone you know is good with fiberglass, then you could make a sealed enclosure that would give you what you want. i dont think 8's would sound very good though being in the cabin like that. WAY to much airspace(outside the box) for them to sound decent i would think

so i should try to fit 10's? or maybe one 12 the only problem is the width

i wouldnt think a 12 would fit. i have my 12" kappa perfect in front of me right now. its cutout size is 10 7/8" looking at it, i am pretty sure you'd have a hard time getting it in there. not sure why you're looking to face the speakers into the cab anyway, unless its just for the look? best bet to get that, and something that sounds decent in that much breathing space, i would think, is to remove the rears seat totally and build a sound wall. you can fit whatever you want then :ylsuper:

Maybe this, or this will inspire you!

That jl set up is nice. It probably wouldn't be to hard to enclose the back of that peice. Nice Idea!

thanks jstkilntim thats exactly what i was talking about

but to awnser the previous question its more for looks than anything i am eventually gonna get two subs in the back also
