Need advice for my subs/enclosure!

So I recently purchased 2 Orion h2 10's and I need some advice.

I just finished building a ported box for one of them (since my current amp only handles one) and it hits very hard, more than I expected (and the box is a little smaller than recommended.

My plan was to build 2 ported boxes since I cant fit one big box through the trunk opening. But my question is, should I go with my current plan with 2 ported boxes that arent made exactly to specs, build 2 sealed boxes instead which are exactly to specs and save some space, or just sell one of the subs and just build a properly sized ported box for the remaining one?

Yes I save money selling one of them, but I would still love to have 2 of them to make some noise. The sealed box idea sounds good too but I am not sure how these subs would sound in a sealed box. Thanks in advance for your help!

Its all preference man... the thing about ported boxes is that they only hit really hard in a certain range (the exact specs tune the box to a certain range usually around 40 hertz) and anything outside of that range doesn't hit nearly as hard.

sealed boxes don't hit as hard as a ported.. but they do better over all of the ranges.. and they are smaller too!

it really depends on what you like.. if you like the range your hitting now.. build another just like it! if you want to go with a specs ported (that will probably gice you a deeper range) then do that.. or if you want more range then go with the sealed.. it's all about what you like.. if it were me and i had the money and time i would try a couple of the options and see what works best for the music i listen to..

good luck man

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll build one sealed box first and see how it sounds compared to the current one I have.
