Mazda MP3

I searched but found old threads,

I'm looking for the MP3 player and found here and via google GJ6B-79-AGXB is what i want, but online at mazda dealers they are saying 06-08...

just want to doulbe/tripple and even quad check this, is the right OEM part that i'll keep the goodies as i really dont want to deface the 8's interior i like it too much but i hate swaping my cd's around and its starting to skip on me..

anyways, let me know and if you know of a place i can get a new one for cheap (under $270) , thanks in advance :D

Why not just check your headunits firmware, and if 9.55 or above, use one of the many add-on MP3 adapters.

Or even do the AUX MOD. Then plug in any MP3 player you want.

I dont have an MP3 player unless you count my phone. I thought about that but im not into hackin and slashing OEM wires or hardware. Less issues..

I found a dealer for $280 shipped for the unit and will probably go that way. thanks for the input and i do think my firmware is 9.55...

The audiolink adapter just plugs into an empty port on the back of your headunit. Allows you to plug in anything you want. Regular headphone connection, or iPod, etc.

It's up to you though. Sounds like you've already made your mind up...

yeah, i could do that, buy that adaptor for $125, then turn around and buy the Ipod touch for $225 and then i would have $350 invested..

not to bad... but thanks for the link i may go that route if verizon cuts me a deal on an upgrade.
