Key fob won't work
 

My key fob stopped working about a week ago for my 2004 RX-8... I have key separate from the fob... any advice? I don't feel like buying a new one or having someone reprogram it (not sure how to do that either). THANKS!

Might be the battery....but they just die after a while

You can buy remotes on e-bay relatively cheap...don't go to the dealer unless you have deep pockets :)

^Dealer quoted me $200 CDN for ONE remote. That's defiantly a bad life decision.

To save you some searching, if its not the battery and the remote is still good its going to be either the receiver in the car or one of the antennas. I have no idea what entails to fix either of those as I have not bothered to fix mine yet.

The remotes die....not likely to be the car......

Get another one and see if it works...

You could even borrow a buddies and see if it will program...if it does you know your remote is the problem.

You might also want to try the re-programming procedure on them...that might work as well
