Internal radio failure?
 

I turned my car on the other day and the radio defaulted to off. Didnt think to much about it until I got to the end of my subdivision and tried to select "CD" with the mode button on the wheel and the button on the dash.... Neither of which worked and it only let me cycle through AM, FM1 and FM2. So I take it into my dealer and they are saying that the radio has internal failure. Its covered under my warranty but I figured id ask if any one else has had this happen to em. 2005 RX8 GT w/ nav bose etc 11k miles.

I've had that exact problem twice. Once about two years ago and again about four months ago. Both times all I had to do is unplug the wiring harnesses from the back of the radio and reconnect them.

I wouldn't worry if it is stated by the dealer that it is covered under warrenty.
