Interior Panel Question

I was wondering if the panel (circled in red), that covers the drivers side air bag can be replaced without disturbing and/or replacing the airbag assembly.

Mine has a few scuff marks and I would like to replace it so it looks new again. Thanks.

that actually is the airbag. you would have to replace the whole thing if you wanted to just get a new cover.

How bad are the scuff marks? If they are not that bad, they can probably be repaired. We do it all the time to the used cars at my dealership.

actually i have taken these apart and you can take the whole unit out with the airbag and once you have it out you can disconnect the airbag from the cover ..... finding someone selling just the cover is the problem... i wish there was a way to repair scuffs like that on ABS plastic without have to buy ABS and do a whole sand routine with melting the plastic and painting it or whatever...

i didnt realize you could disconnect it. my body shop had to order me a new airbag and it was that whole unit so i figured it was all one piece.
