Interior bulb trouble

So I'm trying to solve a weird problem to have. The bulb in my cigarette lighter gave out, as well as the ashtray and I desperately would like to confirm these are safe bulbs to use.

Looks like the ashtray is a 74, it seems to light up and seems to sit in place.

Someone on Reddit mentioned the cigarette lighter is a 37 and I plugged one in and it seems to be turning on, but the old bulb had like a silicon sleeve on it? (I assume to minimize heat in the confined space.) Is this important? It sits a little big in the housing so wasn't sure if it was a size smaller than that.

Main question is if I need the silicon sleeve(I'd have to make one) or if it's A-O-K without it. Additionally, what are the correct sizes?

Much appreciated team, Long Live the Rotary!

I’m answering your question with a question Does the 37 bulb need to be insulated because of proximity to the heat of the cigarette lighter? Is it even on when the lid is closed? The silicone might not be required. Depends on the answers to those questions.
