Ok I have a Snooper to install, was easy on my last vehicle as i knew where to splice it into a 12v source and ground it....
But i havnt got a clue how to access any 12v source or remove the nescessary interior from the RX8 !!

Someone help me out please

You think I should splice the 12v Power cable into a 12v source from the fuse box? would you reccomend this, or trying to access the cig lighter source?

no no....if you take the panel off there is a accessories fuse. look in your manual for the car and you'll see

 

splice into the "acc" socket in the center console. It'll handle more draw than the cig outlet. If your draw requires anything larger than 16 awg, you'll need to pull directly from the battery though.

Attention all who are installing aftermarket electrical add ons. As long as you are installing items with small amp draws (radar detectors, etc) the best place for your 12v source is the fuse box at your left foot. It only has 2 small clips to be removed so you may access the wiring from behind. From there tap into the "fused" side of the cigarettle lighter fuse.
