Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 - Opinions?

I bought a used set of Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 component from my co-worker for dirt cheap. My 8 has the base stereo system and I have no plans to add an amp anytime soon so I am not sure if the stock HU have enough power to push those speakers. Should I install them on my car or sell it on ebay and get something else?

Here are the specs:

anodized aluminum woofer with butyl rubber surround
1" anodized aluminum dome tweeter
2-way crossover (high-pass and low-pass, 3500 Hz at 24 dB per octave)
surface- and flush-mount adapters included
frequency response 75-23,000 Hz
power range 25-100 watts RMS
peak power handling 400 watts
sensitivity 90 dB
top-mount depth 2-5/8"

They will sound WORSE than co-axials if you don't drive the power to them. Great speakers underpowered will sound alot of the time sub par speakers properly powered. The stock deck will not even come close to the power they need.

Well, how different from the Infinity Reference speakers are they? The Infinity car audio drivers seem pretty efficient in general, so you should be able to get more volume out of them with the stock head than you got before.

My experience with the Infinity Reference series is that for peanuts I was able to DRASTICALLY improve the sound of the base system. I have a thread around here somewhere describing it. So, I can't swear that the Perfects will sound good, but unless there is some reason to believe they will perform significantly worse at stock power than the Reference, they should be a nice upgrade.

One thing though...you really need to do both front and back. The stock rear speakers are so incredibly muddy in the mid-bass region that any improvements you get up front other than the extreme high end will be lost unless you fade your sound completely forward...or replace the rears.
