I-Pod connection

 Can anybody tell me the best way to connect my I-Pod to my 6-cd player bearing in mind I don't have a tape player and am not very convinced by the I-trip system?

I don't have one, so I can't help you anymore than providing this link.

I have something similar to the iTrip and it works fine for me...

I have the Monster Cable iCarPlay wireless FM transmitter. I have it connected to the aux in the console with the Belkin TuneDok to hold my iPod in the cupholder. The transmitter works great, and allows selection of 6 or 8 stations. I do run into occasional pockets where I get some other transmission on the standard frequency (88.1), but generally have no problems. I keep my CD changer loaded for just such occasions.

l008com has a good DIY page on an ipod hack... check it out

just about a $4 job... unless you need the car charger which can be bought for about an extra $20-30 from amazon

Even better than Monster FM

I found the new Kensington FM ipod connection with dock connector works flawlessly. Absolutely no interference and complete clarity through the FM on any number of stations not being used in my area. (For Balt/Wash try 91.7, this seems to work well for me).

Apparently it uses some new technology that promises (and delivers !!!) clarity through its FM modulator. What's more, you can pick from any unused frequency between 88.1 and 107.9. Sweet

You can find it at the Apple store.

Good luck.

Don't forget that FM modulation will always decrease the signal quality the bit rate is no where neer what a cd is.

FM modulators suck! :( especially here in the LA area

the neo adapter works good but im pretty sure it wont work with the 6 disc player, cause it actually plugs into the same connecter on the back of the head unit; i think i remember there being an EX2 - does anyone know what it is for, or how to access it?
