Question How to run wires up the front A-pillar...

Hey guys, got a question for all the electronic gurus (sp?) out there.

I'm looking to run a few wires from the glovebox, all the way up the passenger side A-pillar and then through the roofline so that it comes down right by the mirror. Now i've had the headliner apart before, so I'm aware how to do that part, but how hard is it to run something up the A-pillar? I'm struggling to get it off and don't wanna snap it off if i'm not pulling it off right. Is it possible to run the wires through it WITHOUT pulling it off?

Just incase anyone was wondering, i'm wanting to route the power and audio wire for my GPS up so I don't have an unsightly wire running from my dash or cigarette lighter up to the GPS. Sounds easy but I wanted to check how easy this will be to do.

And i'm not gonna hardwire the power wire, as I fried my last GPS doing so. I'm just gonna route the power wire up the A-pillar.

Doable?

It's not hard to remove the A-pillar cover at all. In this post, there are a couple of pics that may help.

I ran the wire for my radar dector up the A pillar. There's a hatch you can use to help you thread the wire up to the A pillar from the dash. In the third picture of that link you can see that the white wire is running right in front of the hatch. Using it makes it a lot easier to hide the wire.

Yep, that's true.
By the way, I certainly didn't leave the white wire hanging like that - it was just for indication that a wire can be hidden behind the weatherstripping.

When removing the A-pillar cover, the "pulling upwards" part was meant: pull it upwards longitudinally (in direction of the meeting point with the headliner). The white fastener will disengage that way.

No. This was for an aftermarket Homelink / auto-dimming mirror which my car did not have.
