hidden start button

I know the s2000 push button start is a popular diy but has anyone tried wiring it into the secret compartment in the center console. I thought it would be interesting to do something like that.

somebody fill me in about this "secret compartment" I noticed it and opened it but all I can guess is that it is for access to ebrake adjuster

the "secret compartment" is teh one where you slide the lid back, and then open it up to reveal a compartment and an ACC plug (cigarette lighter plug)

To my knowledge no one has tried it. It wouldn't be difficult though. You would just use longer wires to get the switch that far and remove the center console to make a hole/wire the switch.

The hard part comes right back to disabling the steering wheel lock. If you can figure that out there are a few of us that would be happy.

yeah I dont think that is much of a secret. In the front passenger side corner of your center console next to the "drink warmers" is where you will find the "secret compartment" that we are talking about. I think it is more like a "secret hole" with a "secret cap/plug"

ya that hold where the cupholders are is the ebrake cable adjust for tension.... you can definitely put the s2000 button in the secret compartment but if your not a smoker why not just put it in the ashtray cig lighter instead of the console one? If your going for hidden then close the lid... but who wants to get in their car and open their console, slide it back, and twist around to start their car? Its just more logical to flip the ashtray and push away... just my 2 cents though! i have one in the Head Unit panel above the AC controls and i dont notice it there unless im looking
