Headliner: composition / dye
Would anyone know what type of material the headliner is made of? Also, could someone recommend a good dye for this type of fabric? I'm looking to dye it black.

oooo i kinda like this idea.

It'd look even nicer with piano black pillar covers
This idea sounds really good, especially if the headliner has some bad stains. The dye would hide them or they can be bleached out first. If no one knows, maybe ask Mazda? |
i was thinking about doing this as well but the head liner is expensive. If you go to a crafts store (Michaels) they have this stuff called rit dye. it comes in a bottle or a packet. get the bottle.

the real problem is the grey pieces around like the sunroof and such. also, youre gonna want to paint the dome light and map light assembly
|
remember, dark ceilings will make the car feel cramped and moody.
lighter colors will give the impression of space and air. which is why most cars have beige headliners. |
