So why did you take.....never mind.
- did you change the bulb? or is it the same one you took out? Is it a new LED one??? |
i was going to switch it out with a new LED one so i can get the entire car 'LED'ed out. i also tired putting the old bulb back in but it still wouldn't light up.

Did you inspect the two wires going into the bulb seat? Maybe you damaged them pulling the bulb out from behind the glovebox ... they are very thin wires so it is possible
|
Did you turn your lights back on?
You do know that the glove box light only works with the lights on.......right? Whether it's LEd or bulb....gotta have them lights on! I'll bet your turned the lights of when you pulled the bulb and put the LED in and eventually the bulb back in and NEVER turned your lights back on! It has happened before..........don't make me go find the thread! :) Here is just but one thread that I found on the subject! https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...ighlight=glove |

anyone else have any ideas???

actually i do, but not on hand. i have it at home. what would i check??
|
Well you could start with 12 v at socket, ground at socket, and continuity at the bulb.....
|
the bulb is in backwards

i shall! as soon as i get home x.x if everything is fine, anyone know anyone that i can go to to have it fixed? could be the wire. might have tugged too hard and pulled it out a little but i'm not down to get all up back in there. too small for me. not looking to pay too much though. it is only a glove box light yaknowww

If you tug too hard i think you only risked pulling the socket. The backend of the wire goes to a big bundle that is wrapped up pretty tight (i just was working on tapping into the light for my gauges last night). The socket is pretty weak and the wires are real tiny so its possible to have separated them a bit.
