Electrical Failure

I just thought I would post a lesson learned for you. I'm sure none of you are this STUPID, but I was...

I just got my Kicker Solo Baric 10 and Box (still waiting on my amp so I used a spare I had). I have had a system in the 8 before so I just used those wires. It was hitting pretty good. About 3 hours later the remote wire came loose from the amp and shorted out. Like a dumb a$$ I had ran the remote wire to the DSC fuse I guess, I'm really not sure. I just know it was in the fuse panel. My car died. I blew the ignition switch fuse under the hood and currenty don't have A/C or Ambient Temp reading. So, I'm going to move the remote wire to the Cigarrette lighter and start searching for all blown fuses.

I tapped mine remote fuse to the AUX fuse. Why would you tap the DSC fuse? just wondering....

After checking everything out, I was incorrect. I had tapped in to the supply side of the A/C fuse. When the remote wire was shorted it didn't short the A/C fuse, but did the ignition fuse. So since I was on the side of the road and in a hurry I just changed the ignition fuse and the next morning realized it was the A/C fuse that I had it connected to. Anyway, all is good now.
