Does anyone use the RX8 cassette for Ipod input?
 

I'm on the Auxmod advanced wait list b/c I have Sirius satellite radio and can't use the Mazda Ipod adapter at the same time. I was considering just installing the Mazda Tape deck (165.00 MSRP, + the damn trim plate) and then using the Griffen Technologies Smart Deck cassette adapter that lets you advance songs using the tape controls. I know its not as good a solution as the Auxmod, which i'm guessing has a much better signal to noise ratio, but I'm also guessing that's its a whole lot better than my current solution which is the Griffen FM transmitter. Don't get me wrong, the Griffen transmitter is quite excellent (for a transmitter), but i'd like better fidelity. Has anyone used the Mazda tape deck like this? Hell, does anyone even have a tape deck anymore??

the tape deck is a good way to do it but the poor quality of those tapes are horrible. They do not last very long..
