Custom Trunk Setup

Well after a few months of not being able to use my trunk because of exposed amps lying around, I finally got the trunk done.

Well I originally bought the ebay box thinking the hole would be on the side and I could mount an amp next to the sub right on the box. The hole came in the middle, so I ended up putting the amp on the floor. Then came another amp for interior speakers. The floor was necessary so I could still use the trunk. I just had them add a little flavor.

The actual box for the sub is much smaller than it looks. There is a lip on each side so that it fits flush.

whats that symbol on the left side of the floor?

Come on nuke, you dissapoint me son!

very well done. That's something like the install I'm going to take on in the next few months.
I'll be looking at either an IDMAX 12 in an IB configuration or my current 10w7 in a sealed box (ported if room allows). A custom 3-way comp set will take care of the fronts with Focal tweets and some undecided 4-5.25" mids in the kicks and a pair of undecided 8s in the doors. Crossover will likely be all active with a 30band to dial everything in just right.

Do you have any in-the-works pics? I'd like to see how you built your box and false floor, just to get a visual before I get going. I don't need you to build a whole detailed tutorial since I'm familiar with the ins and outs of the install process (glass/wood/etc). I'd just like a visual since I'm new to the car. Also, anything you have of the fronts would be cool too.

again, well done!

I'm afraid I can't offer much help. The sub box is the one you can buy on ebay that is made to fit perfectly. The floor I had built at a stereo shop.

got ya, no worries. I'll just have to pioneer it!
