Creative Labs MP3 vs Buying Stock MP3

Ok... in the market for an MP3 player for my RX8...

Wanted your feedback on which way would be the best way to go.

1. Pay the $400 plus dollars and have the stock one installed. This completely fits integrates into the great design already in place on the RX8 and would be the simplest way of getting MP3 played in the vehical. The only problem is that you would be limited to the number of songs on a disk (which is a lot), but would still have to go thru the hassle of burning your music on to CD's etc.

2. Paying around $220 for a Creative Labs Nomad MP3 Player that has 40Gb of space on it. This defniitely would fit ALL of my music into the car. There would also be the requirement of buying the $20-60 Digital to FM convertor. I am thinking it would fit perfectly in the cell phone slot in the center console. It has power in there so I could just have the MP3 and the transmitter sitting in there hidden away and have ALL of my music in one place.

My question to you:

A) Has anyone ever used the Digital to FM signal convertors? What is the quality? Is there a difference between a $20 convertor and $60 confertor? I want quality. I am in the car so range shouldnt be an issue. Though I would use it in the house on a occassion and integrate it into my systmem there.

B) Would the Stock MP3 player still be the way to go? Am I gettign to inventive? How much does anyone use there stock MP3 players? Do they like them?

Thanks for Your help! Ok... in the market for an MP3 player for my RX8...
