Could I Wire Neon Tubes to Cigarette Lighter ??

I was just curious if anybody has done this. I am looking to take all of those wires out from under my hood and if anybody knows if i could use a 12v wire that powered the cigarette lighter please let me know. Thanks :)

If you are looking for footwell lighting there are threads on the forum covering the wiring mods required.

I'm not sure what you mean by taking out the under hood wiring....

you can tap in to the 12v cigarette lighter wire by the fuse box (i think the fuse box is there) just to to the left/above the dead pedal. Its been a long time i cant remember i believe its the yellow wire. but you dont need to rip out wires in the engine bay... you dont even need to lift the hood.

And your comment towards rotaryfan made me laugh. But in the end, we're all family.

all the under the hood wiring refers to the neon wires i have under there now, thats where the transformer for my lights is, thus the under the hood neon wiring
