Alright so I'm wondering how 40th Anniversary Rx-8 seats in Cosmo Red would look in my 2004 Velocity Red 8. Does the Cosmo red match VR well? Has anyone ever seen any pics of this combination(I couldn't find any)? Let me know your opinions

 

I don't think it would look good. Way too much red.
However, that's just my opinion- an opinion of a complete stranger. So if you think it will look good, then that is all that should matter

 

+1 to that. I love the 40th AE interior, but I do agree it would be too much red.

 

incase anyone needs a refresher on what it looks like. Easiest thing for you to do is match the angle i took my photos with your car and then just overlay your car minus the interior on my pics. if you supply me with a picture with a very close angle i can do it for you.

or i can photoshop my car red, but i really dont want to go through that hassle unless absolutely necessary because im feeling lazy.. sorry lol.








its a much nicer red than the red offered for the black and red leather interiors. The black and red leather looks very... cheap... to me atleast.

 

idk. i think the 40th red is more of a rusty/burnt red. I just don't think that it matches all that well with the VR. Might look like a mismatched interior which could then look cheap and tacky. just my 2 cents.

 

+1 on burnt red, but if it was the same color as VR then it would just be super overpowering and bright and i for one would not want something like that. Maybe find a close color to the 40th ae color and get accents done to a gray leather seat.

for example... the center part upholster gray and the bolstered parts do it in red, keep the door panels red and do the back seats the same way as the front.

 

A tan Shinka interior would look baller on a VR if done right.

 

not a fan of tan leather unless in a audi/bmw/jaguar

TO ME... its something found on luxury cars, which i associate with big heavy boats. The rx8 is not luxury by any means and putting tan leather interior just makes it look cheap and poser-esque. nor is the rx8 a big heavy boat. but eh im weird.

 

Not sure on Cosmo Red in VR, but the RX-8 was meant to be a GT and Audi, BMW, Jaguar, etc made GT cars so why not go for something that looks more luxurious?

 

Even if you wanted them, where would you get them from?
