CentraFuse TPMS Plugin

Is anyone using a plugin for Centrafuse on their CarPC for the TPMS? If so, can you tell me which one? I looked on the Centrafuse forums and can only find one that utilizes aftermarket TPMS, but I was hoping that data would feed from the OBDII interface? Maybe it wont? Anyone know?

I am having so many issues with centrafuse right now.

Did you buy it or *borrow* it from bittorrent? ha

It came with the CARPC when I bought it from alz0rz. How he got it, I won't ask :D

I just wonder if the 8 transmits TPMS via OBD II. If so, then a plug in is possible and probably already out there.

I think Mazda has extra unit that deal with TPMS.
It is located under front center dash.

Try new version.
Older version has a lot of trouble.

If I recall correctly you can't access the TPMS system from the OBDII interface. Kinda sucks but thats the way it is.

I've been getting the feeling this was so after doing further research. There's another solution, but it involves replacing your TPMS with a USB based system. Probably more than I'd want to do at this point.

From what I remember reading about alz0rz's setup (which you are now using), it's actually using "DashCommand" to read the ODBII codes. According to their website, here are all the generic codes they support (LINK).

They also support some "advanced/manufacture specific" codes for Ford (LINK), but not sure if these carry over to Mazda. I know at one point, they were considered the same thing, but my guess is they probably aren't for the 8.

Thanks KW!! Appreciate the info

I'm sure this is possible as the TPMS is just broadcasting on some set frequency to a monitor (315mhz seems to come to mind). Now, I don't know if TPMS is something like bluetooth that requires some sort of binding to a device or anything but I imagine it would be possible to intercept the message (assuming its not encoded as I mentioned) and interpret the information to display something on CentraFuse. This would require some extra hardware (I would assume) as well as some interesting interface, backend, and gui programming to get working... Probably possible though.
