I've installed copies of favourite CDs in the car but I've noticed that some them have tracking problems. Has anyone else noticed this? I know that some car players can be choosey regarding the brand of CD blanks used. Is this an issue for the RX8? Thanks.

 

If you search the forums, I think you'll find plenty of complaints about the original single CD player skipping.

I've got an '04 and the player was skipping when I drove it off the lot. Seemed like every little bump sent it skittering off to somewhere else on the disc. I had it replaced under warranty. It still skips occasionally, but only on the big nasty bumps.

 

I've got the 6-CD changer in my car. It's not a skipping problem related to motion, simply that the player sometimes stops halfway through a disk and invites me to "CHECK CD".
