cd player problem!!

my stock stereo won't play cd's anymore.. it will load but after i hear a loud clicking noise and hear the cd being SCRATCHED!! and it says check cd (every cd) and ejects them right away... i have no idea whats going on with my cd player ?? does anyone have any idea what this could be??

No, but why not take it to the dealer and get it fixed under warranty? I wouldn't mess with it if it doesn't work at all.

yeah i was thinking of the same thing ..but if it was something easy to do id rather do it myself but im not really a audio expert kind of guy

would having an aem intake void warranty??(seeing that the dealer would open my hood ...they always call me to say my engine cover is missing)

Tamas Jan 16, 2006 11:17 PM

They can not void the warranty for your audio equipment because of an aftermarket intake.

In fact, they can not void any warranty because of it at all.

I have an extra single disk cd changer if you'd like to purchase it... if all things fall through :D

Now im worried if my cd player is gonna go out on me nows -_-' hopefully not!

beechwoodRX8 Jan 17, 2006 03:20 PM

im still deciding on whether or not to take it to the dealer but for now i'll try to see if i can fix it hopefully....

needmorerotors Jan 23, 2006 03:20 PM

the stock decks really suck.dothey have ne flaceplate adapters out so i can swap out the hunk of crap.

They cannot void your warranty on the spot. If you had a claim against say your emissions system, then they could blame the intake, but they have to be able to prove the intake caused the problem. I wouldn't worry about it one bit. Go to a dealer and have it done.

I'm confused.... why wouldn't you? Did you get bad service at the local dealer? Is the nearest dealer 50 miles away? Do you listen mostly to the radio anyway so you don't really care? Do you work too much so it's incovenient to get to the dealer? We're talking about free work here, what's the downside?

One anonymous guy posts on the internet and you doubt the car you have? :Eyecrazy:

Oh, wait, I get it! You're kidding! Very, very funny. :mdrmed:

You know, we have tens of thousands of owners here representing an equal number of automobiles. We've heard of just about everything failing once, but that doesn't mean everything fails all the time.

If you really drive a silver you should worry about being rammed by an SUV. The CD player may be the only thing left, but at least you could sell it to beechwoodRX8 if he decides to never go to the dealer. ;)
