Get the Parrot kit... I just ordered mine but I'm installing it in a 'different' way. I am still waiting for it to come in so I can start figuring out the wiring.

 

i bought this item on amazon but do not know how to connect the red and black wire anywhere on my 2007 RX8 radio. please help!

 

did you work it out I'm having the same issue got power to it via the cigarette lighter but the external output isnt showing on the screen when i press the cd button. it connects to my phone fine just not showing on the radio.

 

I use this.. Works very well.. Set it and forget it.

And What year 8 ?

And how are you getting signal into your Head unit?
I see your in GB.. So do you have a JDM rx8? the JDM units had the Aux input from Mazda .. NA Rx8 like mine I had to add a Aux input to the HU.
The 2006 and up Head units did have the Aux input Active from Mazda.. Let me know.. You will not see live Data From the BT unit as the pathway is only one way. IF you had the Mp3 input then you could use that and see Track Data on the readout but thats all.
