You don't want the bose system. It's all midrange...weak highs and lows. Even the so-called tweeters aren't actually tweeters. You can do a lot better for less $ to just upgrade the stock system yourself.

Coming from an owner of the Bose in their 8, get something else. The only thing "Bose" about this system is the name I'm afraid. It's disappointing.

It makes more sense to go the aftermarket approach. IMO the Bose doesn't sound that great and for a lot less money you can a system that sounds a lot better with increased coverage of the high, med and low sounds.. Quite a few people have replaced the stock speakers (front and rear), added a set of new tweeters (if even needed) and possible a sub with an amp. Here are some good links to excellent how to's:

Start with the front and rear speakers. Change 'em out to something you like. That right there will make a huge difference. Depending on your budget, you can go from there. For a bar minimum of funds you can drastically change the quality of the sound coming out of the base stereo.

Yeah man--I switched stock speakers for Infinity components in front and Infinity 6x9s in back--100% improvement--and thats off of the factory headunit. I plan on adding an amp and sub next.

Amps are one of the most inportant & easiest way to make your speaker sound better. The 1st thing I did was replace the Bose amp & change it to a Phoenix Gold amp.The differenve was amazing.Souns a lot better, cleaner, & louder. After that then I changed the speakers to drastically make it better.

It shouldn't be that hard to replace the speakers.. Just some time and planning.. You can always get it installed but then you will pay more for installation costs.
