Back panel problems

It vibrates like crazy :banghead:

I thought about using silicon under it but I just wondered if that was even smart?

Btw I have two 12" Alpine type R subs in the zenclosures box and I love it.... Just need to get rid of the frickin rattle. For awhile a taped down towel did the trick but it comes loose too quickly.

Any suggestions?

Also ***It's the back panel in between the two rear speakers behind the seats***

The ONLY way to remove a rattle is to find the 2 objects rubbing against each other and put something soft in between them.

Start taking off the rear seats and then the rear deck. Tap lightly on every surface along the way so you can narrow down what is actually vibrating. Some things to check are the platic pieces holding the top of the rear seats, the metal connectors holding the rear deck on, and the joints in between the 3 pieces of the rear deck.

You can add sound deadening to the rear deck, but unless you are lucky enough to put some on the items causing the noise, it won't really help.

Dang I was hoping it'd be easier.

Anyone have any input on how well the Dynamat works? Seemed to be a good idea but is the real thing actually THAT effective?
