AudioLink Help! I cant find the "bolt"
 
Hi guys... today i tried to install my audiolink... i was able to follow the instructions until the part to remove a bolt (lone) one....so that the head unit can come out.

Can anyone in NYC PLEASE help me with this or have a clear pic of it?

I've removed the radio from both the RX-8's I've owned 3 or 4 times now. Its a struggle to find it every single time. And when I made my own guide, I couldn't even get a picture of it. Nice to know my radio is never going to get stolen I guess :-)

Here is a pic of the bolt that holds the HU. It's in the centre of the photo, not the brass one to the right and in the foreground. This is a view looking toward the centre of the car from the right.

I found if you simply remove the stamped plate under the steering column, the bolt is a snap to locate and remove. You can spend far more time looking and feeling around for the freaking bolt than what it takes to remove the four philips head screws to remove the plate. Also makes for easier access for your wrench.
