Anybody used the 1100F Bypass Module?

Hi, I just got my Viper 791xv alarm installed and I was wondering if anybody on the forum used the 1100F Remote Start Bypass Module for our 8. I'm looking into buying one but I want some feedback on it before I do. I searched but nothing came up so don't flame me for not searching. :eyetwitch

we havent actually used one as yet, but they are supposed to be really good. i just used the 556u module when i installed my alarm, and have had no problems. the only difference is that the u module has a key installed inside of it, and the f module is programmed to the car, so you dont lose a key. i had a valet key, so it was no big deal for me. also, with the f module, you have to cut the wires coming from the antenna ring. the only advantage of using the f module is that you wont lose a key, but it is more expensive.

Lucky you for the valet key. I bought my 04 GT 8 used and it only came with ONE key. I'm getting a spare made right now at mazda. How much would a key usually cost to make? I wanna know if they jipped me or not.

Toek be careful. Always put your club on your car. Better if you can keep it in a garage. You car should have come with 2 keys + a valet key. If the original owners have a key that means they can walk up and drive your car away in the middle of the night.

Happened to a friend of mine who bought a used car.

if you already have 2 good keys, then a new key should be around 40 bucks or so including programming. if you only have one, then they have to erase all the old keys anyway, then program the new ones.

also, we used a new module from audiovox that didnt require the key, just like the 1100f, but much cheaper. its part number asxk04. works just like the 1100f, almost identical to the 1100f, but much, much cheaper.
