Amp light question

I just got my system installed and i noticed every like 2 min the bass cuts in half...than a few seconds later it fully kicks in...than cuts in half etc.....so i opened my trunk and when the bass cuts in half a red light on my amp comes on,than when the bass fully comes on the regular amp light goes back on. Is it overheating or something? i touched it and it didnt feel hot..barely warm. What can i do to fix this.

you have the subs wired wrong...how many ohms is the amp stable too...how many ohms are you running it at?

ok yes...it is very possible that they are wired wrong... you see you have a dual voice coil sub...that means it can be wired many different ways. first off, i need to know how many subs you have?

Redlinin 8 02-04-2005 12:01 AM

i have 2 12' subs.
