Will these work for the front door speakers? ^

no - but if you don't have Bose you can use the 5 X 7 components.. you should read the sticky at the top of this thread that has all the information about speaker sizes and everything...

They'll work just fine. You may need to use speaker adapter plates to fit the larger woofer cutout in the door, but that's easy enough.

I did, I get so confused with Car audio.

front mids: 9", hole is about 8.4" diameter
I can't find a speaker that size?

Everyone I talk to says that they'll work. Also what do you think about those speakers?

WikkedOne 06-04-2009 01:29 AM

well if you have the bose.. then you basically have to do a custom build for anything... but I've seen some really cool custom jobs with 2 smaller speakers in the 9" hole... I didn't have the bose and the alpine 5x7 was a perfect with with no mods

Good luck finding a 9 inch diameter speaker.

This is what I did.

A enterprising installer would make these speakers fit.... and blow away the Type Argh at the same time.
