All Weather Floor Mats
 

Hey. Anyone have some all weather floor mats? Winter is coming up and I wanna buy me a set...

But I think the OEM ones are... not my style, with all the holes... does anyone know of a third party that makes mats for the RX8? anyone have an alternative?

i have a brand-new set of the rx-8 ones that i've opened just to look at, but have never used. and, they actually look really nice i think. they have the rotary logo pattern. too bad it never gets wet or cold enough in southern california to use them, or i would put them on in the winter.

do they actually fit the car specifically though? the little pictures of the mats dont look like the same shape as the stock rx8 ones...

I've got the Mazda winter floormats and was pleased both with the look and the performance of them last winter - the "holes" are actually little rotary designs - they fit well and don't move around either. I know of some people who actually use them year-round.

I have the all weather floor mats and I really love it. They never move of their place. And more, the logo patern show what look like the engine. :mdrmed: ( for the girl who sit beside ans have no idea of what is the difference between piston and rotary engine ) :mdrmed:

I actually have the OEM all-weathers on top of the Rx-8 floor mats. The normal floor mats were just too pretty to actually use. I take the all-weathers out during shows and put them under the car. As for fit, they have a hole in them like the normal mats that hooks under the seat to keep them in place. Very nifty. After 6 months, I've worn some heel spots into them, but better them than the pretty mats.

I too am looking for all weather floor mats for an '04. Anyone else out there with some available.....or more suggestions on where to fine them. Been looking all over e-bay without any luck.

i ended out buying the mazda OEM all weather mats... i actually like them... theyre cool.

my main complaint is that theyre very stick and i can no long drag my clutch foot as i used to and need to be more conscious about how my foot is on the pedal... kind of uncortable, but i'll get used to it

They'll smooth out in a little while - the first month or so I noticed the stickiness and then it started to go away as the area down under the feet wore down a bit...

Odd, today I actually found my heel slid across the all-weather mat because it was sLick when wet, not sTick.

This is my first winter with the all-weather mats (I used a 2nd set of carpeted mats last winter). I was delighted to see what a perfect fit the Mazda winter mats were (same irregular shapes as the carpets mats) and the driver's mat has the alignment hole for the pin near the seat.

first: good point! i bet itll be much less sticky when wet... see, i have my all-weather mats in, but have yet to get them even dirty or wet... lol

second: anyone know of a solution for the passenger side to keep the mats in place like on the driver's side? velcro maybe? then again, i dont think my all weather heavy rubber mats will move around as much as my OEM carpet ones, so i might not have to worry about this...

I haven't had much movement from the passenger mat - the back seat ones are a different matter - don't know if it's from the kids climbing in and out or what but they, just like the carpeted ones, slide up under the seat. Velcro might work if you could secure it well to the underside of the mat - I'm sure the adhesive kind would hold for about 5 minutes...

I bought a second post bracket like the driver's side has, and put it on the passenger side. Then I put a grommet on the passenger mat lined up with it. Works great!

Can anyone suggest a good place to purchase the OEM all-weather mats for a great price?

I've got a set that came with my car. I live in Florida. Took them out and haven't even looked at them since. If someone wants to buy them, shoot me a PM. I'll have to see if I can track them down...probably in the attic....
