after market subs

Has anyone here added an after market sub to their stock bose system? If so was it an easy install or a pain in ass? any info or instruction on this would be much appreciated.

Sorry to not be of more help, but you really need to search before posting... There are many threads on this subject. Even a sticky...

You're on step one of the 12 step program...admitting you have a problem.

ya its easy as hell, just wire them from the rear 2 speakers, add the remote wire from attaching to the fuse box on driver side, then just give it sum power n ground. and then your done!

a simple way to install subs without taking out the head unit...
basicly you connect

power to the batter.
ground to a non painted bolt to car frame
remote blue wire to the fuse box on drivers side(you connect it to the acc fuse (adapter cost like 3$ which adds another fuse and wires off)
then you can get the signals from the 2 rear speakers already located on the top of the trunk, its a simple positive to positive negative to negative wiring for each sub

easy as pie=) at least that's the way i did mine wen i first got the car, just requires a good adjustment of the amp or add additional equipment such as equalizer....
hope that clears up any confusion to the way i did mine...

You guys weren't thinkin with your dipstick..... jimmy

Had my system for three months now.... Love it.

It was a breeze to install... Helps with a box designed for your ride. Just follow the guide posted above and you won't have a chance of screwing up. Saved me $100 from Worstbuy.

Ask any install questions in this thread... PLEASE don't start another one :D

Just realized you were talking about wiring an amp the easy way...I thought you were just saying splice the subs into the rear speaker inputs lol...my bad...and yea, but you also need a line-out converter
