Advice needed about RX8 Back board removal

Hi, can anyone explain how i can remove the back board from my RX 8, i would like to upgrade the standard speakers to something better, the front door panels come off easily and sounding great but the back board is adamant its not going anywhere... no visible gremlins holding it in either.

There are 2 pushpin locks in the front. Once you get them out, just start working the panel up and it will snap out. Careful not to break the tabs. Kind of like removing the door panels. It is a pain in the ass, but it will pop loose. Start from the middle of the car and work to the back glass then to the outside of the car.

Even though it doesn't sound like it.. I find it's much easier to remove the rear seats to get to those tabs.. do a search for "rear seat removal"

and beware.. the metal cross bracing in there is ridiculously sharp.. i recommend putting some duct tape on it first thing.

Just lift the front of the seat bottom up and slide it out. Then there are 2 bolts that hold each seat back in place. Very easy to get the seats out.
