2004 rx8 steering wheel wiring diagram

Good day to all. I am in the process of installing a 2004 Rx-8 steering wheel into an FD with a PAC SWI-PS to control a PIoneer AVIC radio. My question is:

Does anybody have a wiring diagram showing what each wire goes to on the Rx-8 steering wheel (i.e. steering wheel audio control, and steering wheel cruise control wires). Also, if there is a module that goes in between each set of controls that information would be helpful as well.

Thanks

Clears up the audio portion. Cruise part of steering wheel?

Thanks a bunch to lunchboxcritter for that diagram, it really helped clear up a lot of the confusion on the audio portion of the steering wheel. It looks like I will just simply connect the R/B wire from the wheel to the white wire from the SWI-PS, and the G/W wire from the steering wheel to ground. Pretty strait forward.

Actually, this is going into an FD not an RX-8, so I will be going directly to the steering wheel R/B wire.

Does anybody have a similar diagram on the cruise portion of the steering wheel? I would like to see if is possible to adapt the cruise controls to the FD's stock cruise system (likely will not be able to use the speed increase/decrease functions due to them not being present on the FD).

I'm confused, and intriqued at the same time. I would like to see some pictures.

Here's all the diagram's you're going to need, to the rx8 and the FD. I would highly recommend right clicking the links to the pdf files and saving all of the factory service manuals to your computer. They seem to get knocked from the web for some reason or another (copyright maybe?).

Yeah I got the feeling like I am going into uncharted territory here, as on the Rx-7 forums, I haven't seen anyone put an RX-8 wheel in an FD and have all the controls functional. With that said, I will definitely be documenting the progress as I go along. Thanks for that link btw.

I'm on the rx7 forums also. I have a FC coupe and a vert.

I assume your on rx7club.com, but I would suggest you check out rotarycarclub.com as well.

I am on both rx7club and rotarycarclub too, I have an FD, an FC coupe, and an FB.
I will look on rotarycarclub to see if I can dig up any info there as well.

Here's a little tease of what's going on!!!

Very Cool Indeed. If you get it working correctly a write up would most likely be appreciated on the rx7 sites.

Ever get that Rx-8 cruise control working on the Rx-7 by mixing wires ?
