2004 RX-8 MP3 Support
Hi all,
I have a 2004 Mazda RX-8. It has an MP3 player that will play MP3s from a burned CD-R. But, I find that when I want to add maybe one or two new songs, I always have to burn a new one, which is wasteful. So, I'm looking for other ways to play MP3's in my 8. I found this: http://www.therpmstore.com/product_i...roducts_id=141 But when I checked my firmware, it is on version 9.4 or something earlier, which isn't supported by the XCarLink player. So I have a couple of questions.... 1. What are some other products that will play MP3's from SD cards or 3.5mm input that is supported on my old radio? 2. Is there a free firmware update out there I can download to get my head unit to the latest version? Thanks |
bump, i'd like to know as well. i'm on hu 9.50 and would really like an aux or ipod input

Are you filling the CD's to their max capacity?
If not, don't finialize the CD when you burn it. You can add more files later until you get to its maximum capacity. I do this all the time with CD-Rs. I think you can also remove files, but you will not get the space back on a CD-R. |
