Window Tint - What do you use, and Tips
 

I'm about to get my 8 tinted, but I want to make sure it's done well and the tint lasts for a long time. And, is a safe tint for my 8. I'm reading up on this now. Two great sites I've found are http://www.tintcenter.com/ and http://www.enjoythedrive.com/content/?id=25287.

It mentions that you should ask, "How long has the installer [who] is going to be doing the actual tinting workmanship/labor on your vehicle been in the business? ... A minimum of five to seven years of experience is a must, or pass on them.”
Wow, it seems to me that it will be hard to know exactly who is going to be the one tinting your car!

Q:
1. Do you guys have any suggestions?
2. Is the 8 tint-safe for any type of tint? Anything to watch out for?
3. What type of window tint do you use?

I should also add, laws vary in each state as to how much light must be let it and how reflective the tint must be. In Texas you must have at least 33% of the light allowed in, and cannot be more than 25% reflective.

What % do you have for your vehicle? I'd like a dark tint that blocks the heat as well as possible, but don't want it to be hard to see at night.

I have 35% FormulaOne tint and love it, had very good experience with it and would say it is one of the bests. I have the ultimate line of their tint on my car.

Had my car tinted in TX, by Sunblast Tint in The Woodlands. Excellent job! Unfortunately I was transferred to MA and my tint (thanks to the State Police) had to be removed. So, get it legal for all 50 states and never worry about it again...
