What's this side skirt?
Alright, first off, I own a Series II RX8, but I'm referencing a Series I, so I thought this section appropriate. Besides, side skirts work on both right? Or does the Series II have a different wheelbase or something random?
Anyway, does anyone know what side skirt the Castrol RX8 runs? Here is a pic: http://www.mazdaspeeddevelopment.com...daytona-02.jpg It almost appears like a stock side without a skirt and just a small lip, but I'm unsure. Also, on that same note, does anyone know of a company that makes just a side lip for the 8? Like that on the bottom edge of the R3 side skirt, but that mounts to a stock Sport body without a skirt. Thanks. |
Probably Mazdaspeed seeing how he's running the MS front bumper.

Here we go. Side splitter. Just the CF piece, not the whole skirt.

Now where can I order the ChargeSpeed lip kit?
|
Just so you know, the SpeedSource (and other Grand Am racing) RX-8s are tube frame cars, they are not production RX-8s with body kits. They were made to look like Mazdaspeed kits originally, and now are a mix of R3 front, MS sides and rear but with SII taillights.
More info on the Grand Am cars (and where you can buy one for only $300,000... without engine of course): http://www.rileytech.com/ http://www.rileytech.com/PDF/GT.pdf |
