What colour is my car?
 

I have an '06 ex-UK RX-8 and I absolutely love it. But I still can't figure out what colour it is- the lists of S1 colours I've found don't seem to include anything similar.

I've seen similar looking 8s listed as being:
1/ Midnight blue
2/ Stratos blue
3/ Stormy blue

But as you can see in the pictures, it looks very different in different lighting. Most of the time its a navy blue, but some lights really bring out the purple in it (which I'm not overly fussed over, but oh well)

And yes, I've tried to look in the door jamb and on the firewall for a paint code.

So.... what is it?

Stormy Blue Mica. The other two colors are not Rx-8 colors.

Blue

100% definitely Stratos Blue.
Came out in late 2004 to replace the lightning yellow.

Was gutted as I bought in sunlight silver March 04' and far prefer the Stratos Blue.

other UK Blues are Winning Blue (lighter)
Stormy Blue was later on for the Evolve model (2007-8) along with copper mica.

We didn't get Black Cherry in the UK!

Although I now have one in Radiant Ebony (Black Cherry Mica) which is a JDM import Evolve (shinka) :naughty:
