Its possible to drift an integra, just takes alot of practice. People on Japan do drift with civics and integras. Also, Integras are pretty good cars, they race up against bimmers in the curcuit races.

When i first started reading this thread i wanted to reach out and virtually bitchslap someone who would degrade the 8 with such nonsense.

Then i saw he was trolling, and had to laugh at the smackdown the admins gave him...

BTW, nice photochop of the subbie rally 8.

And it's not difficult to provoke oversteer in a FWD car with the proper suspension setup, it's just different throttle modulation.

FWD CANNOT DRIFT ... its physically impossible, sure they can powerslide, but not DRIFT. Another misconception. I wonder why they dont use Integras and FWD vehicles in D1 Grand Prix... HMMMM!? thats a good questions LOL!

i always thought that powersliding was a way to induce a drift, much like the E-Brake...i always thought that to powerslide, you enter the corner and you use the throttle to break traction, thus bringing the backend to the outside of the turning circle and the front end pointing to the center...i think you still need a RWD car for this...

You definitely need RWD to drift, maybe not in video games, but the rear wheels spinning under throttle defines the drift. FWD oversteers and you can pseudo drift, but authentic drifting is done with light weight RWD autos, and to be really authentic, it should be Japanese. Now the Japanese didn't invent drifting, but they have turned it into a sport.

Good Drift Cars: Toyota 80's Corolla GT-S (RWD), Supra, RX-7, RX-8 w/o DCS, Toyota AE86 Trueno, R32 GTS-T Skyline (RWD instead of AWD), And the Nissan Silva's (don't sell in USA, or the Skyline for that matter).

OMG...i just read this thread....first of all everyone is entitled to an opinion if you post on this board be prepared to take flak..that's part of being in a forum, be it constructive or destructive critizism. That's what makes forum's worth a crap.

true it is his car so he can do whatever the hell he wants...

My opinion of it...YOUR A FREAKIN IDIOT...

why put the money into non-functional, never would be functional, stupid looking anyway (on a 8) ROOF SCOOP!.

and as far as starting agression go back and graduate junior high and when your old enough to drive and mature enough to handle adult conversation then come back and provide some useful convo...

and this is the hilarious part....YOU CANNOT DRIFT AN INTEGRA!!!

I owned one and had it modded out as far as possible..(- the roof scoop..lol..maybe i should have added that..) I raced, i won some lost some...but anyway IT does exactly what AStor explained in his reply...it PSEUDO DRIFTS...only because you have to use the E-Brake and that is not a true drift...Now being that I raced and drove this car for 6 years I became quite good at pseudo-drifting and let me tell you, the RX-8 drifts very very well....not being an a$$hole or anything like that...but FWD SUX (in certain perspectives, as in this case) and even though I liked the Integra I thought my GSR being FI'd and all rode and handled way better than your crappy a$$ overpriced, non envious Type-R!

What a waste of thread space...

then again..that was my opinion and everyone knows about those....()o()

Aw man I read 5 pages for nothing!!! That was like a short prison sentence. You just just stole 15 minutes of my life with that bs post! I may as well comment on it so as not to have a total loss.

roof scoops: Fine for cars that are mid engined and need them. Also good for rally cars with no a/c.

hood scoops: Again fine for cars that need them. The T-II RX-7 has its intercooler under there as does the WRX. Fake ones need not apply.

trolling and starting crap on the RX-8 forum: If I ever meet you I am going to bitch slap the V-tec out of you. BTW: I have a 1st gen RX-7 that I'll race your Integra Type R in. How many lengths would you like? I'll even start with the engine off! I hope your snail is bigger than mine!

drifting: If you have to drift around a corner with the emergency brake on, you aren't drifting!

ACT DAH FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

haha you guys are hilaroius. Thank god some of you guys got your head on straight. I was this close to being steered out of buying an Rx8. :D

Ricers like wow. Of course you'd think it looks good type R or else you woudln't be doing it. But what you think is "style" with your orange paint and graphics other may think looks like ****. When you're gangster leaned back in your seat with your ACT THE FOOOOOOOOL music chicks and people aren't starring at your car because it's "stylish", they're looking in disgust.

Personally, I feel that if you dont "need" it, you shouldnt get it. Hood scoops, and god forbid, roof scoops have no purpose on an RX8.

I have an open mind, but some people's style should never see the light of day.
