vinyl instead of clear corners
don't know if this has been mentioned before....but instead of going for clear corners. (and since i do vinyl graphics and decals for a living lol) i used some silver metallic vinyl, made a template and used the vinyl to cover my corner marker lights. the vinyl is translucent so the lights show through at night when they're on. during the day they're hardly noticable at all.
i've done it for other 8's that have come in for tinting.
i've also used the vinyl to make RX-8 covers for the 3rd brake light.

titanium is the one i haven't tried matching up yet. couldn't find a good match for green. metallic blue, red, and silver are good. black's easy. the color chart i have for vinyl comes close to matching whatever i need.

i've got a plotter at my store. i did the rx-8 cut in the vinyl before installing it on the 3rd brake light. one of my customers had me do the rx-8 cut on his corners when i covered 'em. looked pretty cool.

Also, I see you applied it over your stock corners. Is that correct? Considering most of the clear corners aren't flush like the stock orange corners, will this apply over them easily? I assume not.
Just wondering cuz I already sold my stock orange corners.

the vinyl i used is a 2 mil cast vinyl with 7 year durability. i've had the same vinyl on my company van (a rolling billboard) for about 6 years. still looks great. peeling isn't an issue. it's been on my corners for about a year and a half.
yeah i did apply it over my stock corners. i'm not sure about the clear corner application. i would think it would be no different. but i honestly haven't seen any clears up close.

So if you could match up Titanium would you be willing to hook us up? I think they look great and alot cheaper also. If so let me know where or when I could purchase!

seriously though...there's no reason for me to be sending out/selling these small chunks of vinyl to any members. any vinyl/sign company anywhere can do what i did, inexpensively. these are nothing more than scrap size pieces of vinyl left around my shop.
i had no intention of selling anything.....just throwing another option out there to you guys.
